A motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck in Portland’s Hazelwood neighborhood left one dead and another injured early Sunday morning.
Police responded to the crash at Southeast Stark Street and 139th Avenue about 1:10 a.m. Officers found the motorcycle driver dead and a passenger on the bike severely injured. The passenger was taken to a nearby hospital.
The pickup driver remained at the scene, police said. It’s unclear what caused the crash or how the driver of the truck was involved.
Just over an hour earlier, two men were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash near North Marine Drive.
The Portland police Major Crash Team responded to the scene. Investigators ask anyone with information on the crash to email crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov and reference case number 23-139476.
