A 27-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on charges of assaulting four women in the past month near a grocery store where he worked in Portland’s Central Eastside, police said.
The Portland Police Bureau’s Major Crimes Unit launched an investigation after a series of assaults by a stranger were reported near Southeast 10th Avenue and Belmont Street. Three women were injured in separate incidents and treated at local hospitals, police said. A fourth victim escaped an attack without injury.
