Class 6A All-Star Softball Game rosters announced, showcasing the classification’s best senior talent

The top senior softball players from Class 6A have one more chance to take the field as Oregon high school athletes. The 6A Senior All-Star Game’s rosters were announced on Friday morning.

The double-header will be played on June 16 at Hillsboro Stadium Field No. 4. The first game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. and the second game will be played approximately 20 minutes after the first game finishes. The event will also be live streamed on Twitch at twitch.tv/whssoftball1.

The West team includes Bend’s middle infielder Violet Loftus, second baseman/outfielder Emma Sullivan and third baseman/pitcher Lena Zahniser.

Oregon City is represented by first baseman Preslie Ritz and third baseman/catcher Phoebe Borkus. Sherwood is sending outfielder/pitcher Lauren Garrison and third baseman/outfielder Raegan Chioino. Third baseman/second baseman Izzy Carattini and catcher/first baseman Zoe Zimmer will represent Westview. Central Catholic will have outfielder/second baseman Dani Calcagno and pitcher/first baseman Ally Hyde.

The West team will be rounded out by Canby pitcher/second baseman Abigail Loomis, Sheldon second baseman/outfielder Tori Leyba, Glencoe middle infielder Ellie Ravins, McDaniel catcher/third baseman Hannah Lewis, Roosevelt outfielder Randi Murphy and third baseman Kani Korok from state champion Tigard.

The West team will be coached by Oregon City’s MacKenzie Washington and Tigard’s Peter Kostel.

The East team will include four players from Mountainside, including outfielder Megan Landes, catcher/third baseman Lizzy Bradford, third baseman/outfielder Addison Kachnik and second baseman/outfielder Kendall Stout.

Pacific Conference powerhouse Newberg will be represented by three players: pitcher Serayah Neiss, second baseman/third baseman Brooke Poff and third baseman Hayley Poff. Sandy is also sending three players, including pitcher/outfielder Abby Bradley, catcher/outfielder Peyton Bradley and shortstop/outfielder Ashley Allinger. Sprague will be sending third baseman/first baseman Hayley McCuistion, outfielder/second baseman Summer Domrude and pitcher/first baseman Sophia Honse.

McMinnville will have two players in the game, with outfielder/first baseman Maddy Powell and outfielder Kaydi Stevenson playing.

Rounding out the team will be South Salem third baseman/catcher Emma Cordero and Grant catcher/outfielder Olivia Dunn.

The East team will be coached by McMinnville’s Josh Terry and Newberg’s Ashley Thomas.

Of the players competing in the all-star games, 20 of them are headed to college to compete at the next level. The rosters are highlighted by Newberg’s Neiss, who is committed to play at Fresno State.
