Tanner Smith’s RBI double gave Oregon its second walk-off win of the season.
After Owen Diodoti led off the ninth with a double, Smith hit an 0-1 pitch from Ryan Robinson to left to send the Ducks past San Diego 4-3 Friday afternoon at PK Park.
San Diego (5-3-1) hit a solo home run in the second and took a 2-0 lead on a single in the top of the third.
Smith (2 for 5) hit an RBI single and later scored in a three-run third to give Oregon (6-3) a 3-2 lead.
Leo Uelmen gave up two runs, one earned, on four hits and four walks and struck out three over 5.1 innings in a no-decision.
Austin Smith’s two-out double off Logan Mercado tied it in the seventh.
Mercado picked up his first win of the season, allowing a run on two hits, two walks and a hit batter and struck out three over 3.2 innings of relief.
James Sashin allowed three runs on seven hits, two walks and a hit batter with eight strikeout over 5.2 innings in a no-decision for the Toreros. Robinson (1.1 IP) took the loss.
The teams continue their weekend series at 2 p.m. Saturday.
