Trail Blazers’ Nassir Little undergoes second core muscle surgery

Portland Trail Blazers forward Nassir Little underwent surgery Thursday to repair a right-side core muscle injury, the franchise has announced.

The surgery was performed by Dr. William C. Meyers at the Vincera Institute in Philadelphia.

Little underwent a similar procedure on the left side in May 2022 and made a full recovery. The Blazers announced that they expect him to do the same following this most recent surgery.

Little played in a career-high 54 games last season while producing 6.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per outing.
