A man died and a woman was injured in a shooting in Portland’s Northwest District neighborhood Friday night.
At 11:23 p.m. Friday, police officers responded to Northwest 17th Avenue and Irving Street after a report of a shooting. They found a man and woman who were both injured. The man’s injuries appeared to be life threatening and officers provided first aid until paramedics arrived and continued care, but he died at the scene. The woman was taken to a hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening.
There were no suspects in the area when police arrived and homicide detectives are investigating the shooting.
