Former East Carolina offensive lineman Nishad Strother commits to transfer to Oregon Ducks

The Oregon Ducks are adding another transfer.

Former East Carolina offensive lineman Nishad Strother committed to transfer to Oregon on Monday following a visit to UO this weekend.

The 6-foot-3, 326-pound Strother, who is entering his fifth-year junior season, has two seasons of eligibility remaining. He started 30 games at ECU, including the last 18 straight.

He was a two-star recruit ranked No. 2,776 nationally and No. 49 among offensive guards in the 247Sports Composite in the class of 2019.

He is the thirteenth FBS transfer addition for the Ducks this offseason, joining linebackers Jestin Jacobs (Iowa) and Connor Soelle (Arizona State), receivers Traeshon Holden (Alabama), Tez Johnson (Troy) and Gary Bryant Jr. (USC), cornerback Khyree Jackson (Alabama), offensive lineman Junior Angilau (Texas), safeties Evan Williams (Fresno State) and Tysheem Johnson (Ole Miss), edge rusher Jordan Burch (South Carolina) and tight ends Casey Kelly (Ole Miss) and Kaden Ludwick (Colorado), plus FCS transfer offensive lineman Ajani Cornelius (Rhode Island).

The addition of Strother gives Oregon 85 projected scholarship players in the fall, including 16 offensive linemen.
