Oregon’s Sabin Ceballos earned national recognition for his defensive play.
Ceballos is this year’s third base winner of the ABCA/Rawlings Division I Gold Glove Award.
He is the fourth Oregon player to win a Gold Glove Award, joining Gabe Matthews (2019), Austin Grebeck (2016) and Mitchell Tolman (2015).
Ceballos had a .968 fielding percentage with 79 assists and 42 putouts with four errors on 125 chances this season. His bare-handed putout in UO’s win over Vanderbilt in the NCAA regional round was among his highlight reel plays.
Ceballos also hit .333 with a team-high 18 home runs and 70 RBIs.
