Authorities are warning residents in the rural Estacada area to be ready to evacuate at a moment’s notice after a 30-acre brush fire broke out Thursday evening.
Clackamas Fire District No. 1 officials announced about 5:45 p.m. that “Level 2″ evacuation orders were in place in a half mile radius of a brush fire near upper and lower Highland Road in the community of Beavercreek.

Estacada Fire officials said the fire had not yet reached their area but said they were “upstaffing with crews” and had sent one engine to assist the Oregon Forestry Department and Clackamas Fire crews battling the blaze.
Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area.
Earlier this week, the 20-acre Reuben Leigh Fire spurred evacuations in the Fall Creek and Lowell areas in southeast of Eugene, but the blaze was contained and all evacuation levels were lifted as of Thursday afternoon, the Register-Guard reported.
