A 32-year-old dance manager at a Portland-area club was arrested in Beaverton last week and accused of several sex crimes.
Investigators have identified four victims of Ali Muhammed Quraishi, one of whom reported meeting him though the dance club, police said.
Beaverton police said they believe there might be more victims. They’ve released his mugshot to the public, encouraging anyone who may have had an inappropriate interaction with Quraishi to report it.
The investigation started in May 2022, when Beaverton police officers took a report of a sexual assault at an apartment in the Cedar Mill area.
Court records show Quraishi is accused of three counts of first-degree rape, seven counts of first-degree sexual abuse, four counts of first-degree sodomy and one count of first-degree invasion of personal privacy for incidents that allegedly occurred in Sept. 2016, Oct. 2021, May 2022 and Dec. 2022.
Quraishi pleaded not guilty to all 16 charges at his Tuesday arraignment. Detectives have not specified which club Quraishi worked for, saying it could jeopardize the investigation, but they believe he was still employed there when he was arrested.
He’s lodged at Washington County Jail and scheduled to appear in court again April 10.
Police ask anyone with possible relevant information about Quraishi to contact Det. Maggie Brown at 971-253-9690 or madalynbrown@beavertonoregon.gov.
