Bronny James showed he belonged on the big stage with the nation’s top prep basketball prospects at the McDonald’s All-American Game on Tuesday night.
The son of NBA star LeBron James produced an impressive perimeter game. James scored 15 points by making 5 of 8 shots, with all of his points coming on 3-pointers.
James’ performance occurred during his West team’s 109-106 loss to the East at the Toyota Center in Houston. The elder James, along with wife Savannah, son Bryce and daughter Zhuri, were sitting courtside watching Bronny’s performance.
James is ranked as the No. 35 overall prospect in the Class of 2022, according 247sports.com. His inclusion on the All-American roster raised a few eyebrows, but his performance in the game quieted some of the critics.
James is projected as a combo guard at the next level and he showed he was the best perimeter shooter on the court Tuesday night. He also displayed an all-around game similar to his father – his four assists tied for the game-high and he also had two steals.
The senior out of Sierra Canyon High School (California) was the only player on either roster who hasn’t announced his college commitment. James has reportedly narrowed his choices down to Oregon, Ohio State and USC.
