Central Catholic alumna Kyeese Hollands is heading to Texas Tech this fall to start her collegiate career in track and field. But first, she’s going to have to make a stop in Budapest, Hungary as she finished third in the javelin on Sunday at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships to qualify for the Worlds.
Hollands, a two-time OSAA state champions and Nike Outdoor National champion in the javelin, finished third in the event on Sunday with a throw of 150 feet, two inches. Hollands was competing as a member of the Albina Roadrunners club team this weekend.
