Founded by street performers Guy Laliberté and Gilles Ste-Croix in 1984, Cirque du Soleil has become an internationally renowned circus entertainment company known for its death-defying acrobatics, beautiful costumes, and tantalizing story narratives. “Alegría”, the Spanish word for “jubilation”, is the title of Cirque’s latest show, promising a complex tale of monarchy, heritage, and youth.
