The Clackamas girls basketball team has been the favorite in the field all season, and on Saturday afternoon in the Chiles Center their dream was realized.
The Cavaliers started strong and held off nearly every South Medford wrench thrown their way en route to winning 56-46 over the Panthers. It’s the first girls basketball state title in school history for Clackamas.
Rhyan Mogel led the Cavaliers with 18 points while drilling eight of nine free throws. Jazzy Davidson scored 12 points despite missing significant time due to foul trouble.
Donovyn Hunter led South Medford with 15 points.
