Deputies with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office have fired on suspects three times so far this year, twice fatally, matching the number of shootings by sheriff’s officers for all of the year before.
Sheriff’s officials have released few details of the shootings in February and April. At least two of the cases involved chases, and each case involved suspects who fired on deputies, according to preliminary investigations.
