Former Oregon softball pitcher/designated player Allison Benning will continue her career in the Atlantic Sun.
Benning, who entered the transfer portal earlier this month, committed to North Florida this weekend. The former top 100 recruit in the class of 2021 has two years of eligibility remaining.
She hit .167 in 18 games and allowed five runs, two earned, on six hits and five walks and struck out six over 6.0 innings over four appearances this season. In 2022, Benning hit .290 with a home run, three doubles and six RBIs and had an 8.40 ERA over five innings and was named to the Pac-12 all-freshman team.
