George Dickel Bourbon Whisky Aged 8 Years
Review
Launched in mid-2021, this bourbon uses exactly the same mash bill, yeast, and filtration process as George Dickel’s Tennessee whiskey. Yet, the brand’s general manager and master distiller Nicole Austin decided release this expression as a bourbon, after choosing casks she believed closer represented that style than Tennessee whisky. A standout bargain offering, this release is bottled at 8 years old and 90 proof. It serves dried petals and red berries on the nose and delivers a robust maple-spiced palate. This is a bargain.
