Portland police are responding to a Saturday morning report of a shooting at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in Northwest Portland.
A news release from police says the hospital is locked down and officers are searching the area for the suspect, who they believe has left the building.
All traffic is blocked between Northwest 21st and 23rd avenues from Lovejoy to Northrup streets.
TriMet said there would be no bus service from Northwest 23rd Avenue and Raleigh and Thurman streets to West Burnside Street and Southwest 19th and 20th avenues due to police activity. Also affected is Line No. 77, TriMet said at midday. Riders to Montgomery Park will have no service between Northwest Glisan Street and 19th Avenue and 21st Avenue and Quimby Street. For eastbound riders, there is no service from Northwest 21st Avenue and Pettygrove to Everett Street and 19th Avenue.
The Portland Streetcar lines near the hospital are also shut down, the service said on its website.
