There’s something magical about the central Oregon plant shop Somewhere That’s Green. It’s not just the glimpse of the moon through the skylight framed by monstera leaves or the alien spheres of algae soaking in glass jars. It’s not just the stuffed owl perched in the rafters or the glow of green leaves under their grow lights. Past the rows of locally made pots, stacks of mushroom growing kits, and a wall of antique window panes is a pocket theater. Look up and you’ll see a constellation of zodiac signs and phases of the moon glowing in gold on the ceiling. A small stage beckons for an intimate audience to gather close.
