Industrial equipment distributor W.W. Grainger plans to open a 530,000-square-foot warehouse in Gresham in 2025, employing 80 initially and as many as 150 eventually.
The warehouse will distribute hand tools and power tools, heating and cooling equipment for buildings, lighting and motors, among other industrial products. Grainger subsidiary Red Agate will operate the facility, be built on a vacant, 48-acre site on land formerly owned by the Port of Portland.
