A man was shot and injured by a Multnomah County sheriff’s deputy after allegedly firing a gun at a building in Troutdale early Saturday morning, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies and Gresham police responded to reports of a man shooting windows near a business on the 25100 block of Southeast Stark Street around 1:40 a.m. Employees in the building were told to shelter in place.
Deputies told the man to drop his weapon when they arrived, officials said. A sheriff’s deputy shot and injured the suspect, and he was transported to a nearby hospital. The injuries were not fatal, the sheriff’s office said. No one else was injured.
