Martha Stewart has been featured on the cover of many magazines, but her latest cover photo will surprise a lot of people.
The businesswoman and best-selling author landed on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s iconic swimsuit issue for 2023.
Stewart, 81, is the oldest cover model for the swimsuit issue in Sports Illustrated’s history. Stewart is one of four cover stars for the annual issue. She appears along with Megan Fox, Kim Petras and Brooks Nader.
Stewart saw the cover shot for the first time during an appearance on the “Today Show” on Monday morning.
“I like that picture,” Stewart said on the “Today Show.” “To be on the cover (at) my age was a challenge. And I think I met the challenge.”
Stewart posed in the Dominican Republic for the shoot and appears in other looks inside the issue. Stewart is no stranger to modeling. She started modeling at age 15 and 66 years later, she wanted to show people that she still looks good.
“I’m going to be the oldest person ever I think on the cover of Sports Illustrated,” Stewart said during an interview with Sports Illustrated. “And I don’t think about age very much but I thought that this is kind of historic and that I better look really good.”
