American singer, poet, and activist Michael Franti will perform with his band Michael Franti & Spearhead Gorillaz at McMenamins Historic Edgefield Manor on Thursday, July 21 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the ‘Follow Your Heart’ tour show are now available starting at around $44 per ticket.

Michael Franti & Spearhead combine rock, reggae, and funk to create uplifting albums that further their political standpoints. As an activist, Franti aims to utilize music to inspire his listeners to take action against injustice. His 2008 song “Say Hey (I love you)” helped propel him further into fame. On July 21, Michael Franti & Spearhead will appear at Edgefield as part of a world tour for the newly released album Follow Your Heart.
