Morgan Scott delivered another gem for No. 18 Oregon, which shutout No. 4 UCLA to open the series.
Scott allowed just two hits and a walk and struck out four, including All-American Maya Brady twice, in a 3-0 win for the Ducks over the Bruins Friday night at Jane Sanders Stadium.
Terra McGowan went 2 for 3 with a solo home run and RBI double for Oregon (20-8, 3-4 Pac-12), which snapped a six-game skid in the series.
Megan Faraimo (13-2) allowed three runs, one earned, on four hits and two walks and struck out six over 6.0 innings for UCLA (27-4, 4-3).
It’s Oregon second win over a top 5 team this season and its first at home since beating UCLA on April 9, 2021.
