Championship finals were contested in six events, mostly in field events, with the rest of the women’s finals set for Saturday. The women’s heptathlon runs both Friday and Saturday.

The men’s events are largely split between Wednesday and Friday, though the decathlon did wrap up Thursday.

And Thursday also brought plenty of semifinal heats on the track.
