Oregon rallied in a four-run seventh to surge past USC and even the series.
Drew Cowley and Tanner Smith each hit two-run doubles in the pivotal frame to send the No. 17 Ducks on to a 7-5 win over the Trojans Saturday night at Dedeaux Field.
Matt Dallas, Grayson Grinsell and Josh Mollerus combined for three scoreless innings of relief after Oregon (31-15, 14-9 Pac-12) took the lead to close out the win.
Sabin Ceballos led off the second with a home run and USC matched it with a blast from Johnny Olmstead in the bottom of the inning.
The Trojans (26-20-1, 12-11) got a pair of solo shots in the third from Jacob Galloway and Bryce Grudzielanek
Cowley hit and RBI single and later scored when Smith grounded into a double play that tied the game at 3 in the sixth. USC got the runs back on a two-run double by Ryan Jackson.
With two outs and the bases loaded Cowley doubled down the line in left to tie the game at 5 and two batters later Smith doubled to center to put Oregon ahead.
Logan Mercado allowed four runs on six hits, three walks and a hit batter and struck out four over 5.2 innings in a no-decision for Oregon. Dallas (5-1) allowed a run on a hit, walk and hit batter over 1.1 innings and Grinsell and Mollerus each threw perfect innings, with the latter picking up his fifth save of the season.
The teams will conclude the series at noon Sunday.
