Oregon softball is losing at least one player to transfer.
Allison Benning, who hit .167 in 18 games and pitched in four appearances, entered the transfer portal on Friday.
She started four games this season, going 3 for 18 with a double at the plate and allowed five runs, two earned, on six hits and five walks and struck out six over 6.0 innings.
As a freshman in 2022, Benning made 12 starts at designated player and played in 26 games and pitched in three. She hit .290 with a home run, three doubles and six RBIs and had an 8.40 ERA over five innings and was named to the Pac-12 all-freshman team.
A top 100 recruit in the class of 2021, Benning was a two-time Gatorade Minnesota Softball Player of the Year (2020, 2021). She has two years of eligibility remaining.
