Oregon State may have completed its 2023-24 women’s basketball roster as Utah transfer Kelsey Rees has committed to the Beavers.
The 6-foot-5 Australian is a post who has two years of eligibility remaining. Rees is the third Division I transfer to join Oregon State this offseason. Dominika Paurova (Minnesota) and Sela Heide (California) signed earlier this spring with the Beavers.
With Rees, the Beavers’ roster for next season stands at 13 players.
Rees played three years at Utah. Last season for the co-Pac-12 champions, Rees played 20 games, averaging 10.7 minutes, 3.1 points and 2.4 rebounds a game. Rees’ most productive year was 2021-22, when she played 31 games, starting 17, averaging 4.7 points and 4.7 rebounds a game.
Rees is the sixth addition to Oregon State’s roster for next season. In addition to Paurova and Heide, the Beavers signed JC guard Susana Yepes and incoming freshmen guards Donovyn Hunter (South Medford) and Kennedie Shuler (Barlow).
OSU lost guards Bendu Yeaney and Noelle Mannen and post Jelena Mitrovic to graduation, and guard Shalexxus Aaron to the transfer portal. Returning from last year’s team are guards Lily Hansford, A.J. Marotte, Talia von Oelhoffen, Martha Pietsch and Adlee Blacklock and forwards Timea Gardiner and Raegan Beers.
