The Oregon State Beavers visit the Cal Poly Mustangs Friday night in Game 2 of a four-game series at Baggett Stadium in San Luis Obispo, California.
The Beavers won the opener, 5-4, using a Travis Bazzana eighth-inning double and solid bullpen pitching to earn a come-from-behind victory. It was Oregon State’s seventh win in a row.
Bazzana ripped a two-out double off the fence in right-center to give the Beavers a one-run lead in the eighth, and Ryan Brown pitched the final 1 2/3 innings to close the win. Bazzana finished 2 for 5 at the plate, recording his fourth multi-hit game of the season.
Brady Kasper and Mikey Kane added back-to-back solo home runs in the fourth inning, as Kane extended his hitting streak to eight games. The transfer infielder, who is batting .393 with 13 runs and six RBIs, is the only Beavers player with a hit in every game this season.

Probable starters: OSU RHP Trent Sellers (1-1, 1.08) vs. CPU RHP Bryce Warrecker (1-0, 1.64)
This and that: Sellers, who is making his third start for the Beavers after transferring in the offseason from Lewis-Clark State College, leads the Pac-12 in strikeouts. He earned his first win at OSU last week, persevering through a stomach bug to strike out 12 in 5 1/3 scoreless innings to beat Coppin State. The gutsy performance earned Sellers the first Pac-12 pitcher of the week award of the season. … Oregon State’s bullpen continued its solid play on Friday, when five relievers combined to allow just three hits and one unearned run over six innings. AJ Lattery (2-0) earned the win with a scoreless seventh inning and Brown closed with his second save. … The Beavers’ bullpen is 5-0 with a 2.82 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 35 innings this season. … Bazzana’s game-winning double extended his Pac-12 leads in doubles to six. He’s batting .414 with eight RBIs and eight runs scored this season. … Coach Mitch Canham needs three victories to reach 100 at Oregon State. He has a 97-52 record in four seasons at OSU.
