Oregon State inside linebacker Kyrei Fisher-Morris is headed to the Canadian Football League, as he plans to sign with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
The 6-foot, 232-pound Fisher-Morris told The Oregonian/OregonLive that he opted for a CFL offer as he’s yet to receive an NFL undrafted free agent deal.
Eight players from the 2022 Beavers were draft picks or received undrafted free agent offers this weekend. Fisher-Morris is the ninth player from last year’s OSU team to land in pro football.
“We are going to get to the league. This is just the next step. It’s going to be one of hell of a story in the end,” Fisher wrote in a text.
Fisher-Morris earned Pac-12 honorable mention honors last season after making 77 tackles, including 8½ for losses, in 13 starts. Fisher-Morris completed the season with 11 tackles each in games against Oregon, and Florida in the Las Vegas Bowl.
The only Oregon State player from 2022 still awaiting a pro football opportunity is punter Luke Loecher.
