EUGENE — Oregon’s men’s tennis and women’s golf teams posted perfect Academic Progress Rate scores in the four-year period ending in 2020-21 and were among six UO teams with perfect single-year scores during that year, according to the NCAA’s annual APR reports released Tuesday.
Oregon’s men’s tennis, women’s golf, softball, soccer, women’s tennis and volleyball each had perfect APR scores for 2020-21. UO had two teams with a perfect multi-year score and eight with perfect single-year scores in 2018-19, the last year scores were released.
Oregon football’s four-year APR score dropped from 968 to 960 due to a single-year APR of 939, down from a single-year 963 in 2018-19 and the program’s lowest since 2009-10 (932). UO football’s four-year APR is ninth in the Pac-12 with Washington (993), Utah (991), Stanford (985) and Arizona State (983) as the only Pac-12 schools with multi-year scores above 980 in football.
An APR score of 930 equates to a roughly 50 percent graduation rate and postseason eligibility requires a four-year score of 930 or 940 for the most recent two years.
The multi-year APR for Oregon men’s basketball dropped from 959 to a conference-low 948, but its single-year score of 974 was its best since a perfect 1,000 in 2016-17.
Only six Power 5 men’s basketball teams have lower multi-year APR scores.
The multi-year APR for Oregon women’s basketball dropped slightly from 990 to 984 due to a 978 single-year score. UO women’s basketball’s APR is 9th in the Pac-12, the entirety of which was over 980.
