In a tight battle between Jesuit and West Linn in the first round of the OSAA Class 6A softball state tournament on Monday night, it was a small-ball move that led the Crusaders to an 8-7 win over the Lions in the bottom of the eighth inning.
The Crusaders needed several clutch performances on Monday to pick up the win.
