Portland police have publicly identified the man who was killed Friday night in a Northwest Portland shooting that also injured a woman.
James R. Rodgers, Jr., 55, was shot to death April 28th shortly before 11:30 p.m., police said. The medical examiner determined the death was a homicide.
Officers responding to a call found Rodgers and a woman inside a car at Northwest 17th Avenue and Irving Street. Both of them had been shot.
