If you are heading out to the Oregon International Air Show in Hillsboro or the annual UFO Festival in McMinnville this weekend, you’re in luck weather-wise.
The Portland area will be mostly sunny Saturday with a high temperature around 81 degrees. Sunday brings us closer to seasonal normal temperatures with a high around 73.
A little to the east, instability in the atmosphere and lingering moisture will continue to bring thunderstorms to the Cascade mountains into the weekend. If you’re heading up to the hills to camp, fish, hike, etc., be ready for a 15-30% chance of thunderstorm development. Some of those storms will pack high winds, rain, lightning, and hail.
Back in Portland, the first half of the workweek will look a lot like Sunday with high temperatures from 69 to 73 degrees and partly sunny to mostly sunny skies.
