Last weekend, Portland police responded to eight suspected drug overdoses – all of them fatal.
Investigators said a “particularly dangerous” batch of drugs may have caused several of the fatal overdoses, with people ingesting what they thought was cocaine but was actually pure fentanyl or fentanyl-laced cocaine.
