I applaud your story on the coverage of Albina: Great research and well documented, (“Publishing Prejudice: Whitewashing Albina’s destruction,” May 30). Having served on the board of the Urban League of Portland for five years, I was pleased to see familiar names like Avel Gordly, Bill Hilliard and Ed Washington. I look forward to the $400 million donation from Phil Knight and the leadership of Tony Hopson and Ron Herndon to help revitalize the future of Albina, (“Phil and Penny Knight pledge $400 million for Portland’s historically Black Albina neighborhood,” April 24).
