I am pleased to see that small actions are being taken to address the climate crisis, (“Massive Oregon plant sale is ready to help with climate-adapted, water-wise gardening,” March 31). The sale of climate-adapted plants not only promotes sustainable gardening practices but also emphasizes the importance of adapting to a changing climate.
However, while small actions are important, larger efforts must be made to combat climate change. A carbon tax, for example, could incentivize individuals and corporations to reduce their carbon footprint and invest in renewable energy.
Climate change is a global issue that requires collective action, and we must shift away from our reliance on fossil fuels. By taking bold action now, we can prevent the worst impacts of climate change and create a brighter future for generations to come.
Thank you for highlighting the importance of climate-adapted gardening and continuing to draw attention to the urgent need for action on climate change.
