The 2022 Rose Festival has a lot of events, and most of them are held outdoors. But summer-like weather seems to be on hold, and Thursday night’s kickoff concert, Rose City Reunion, has been moved from Waterfront Park to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall.
The free classical music event features the Oregon Symphony led by conductor Norman Huynh, and debuts a special Rose Festival-themed song “From One Rose” written by Ron Carr and arranged by Bruce Broughton. Other pieces on the program include work by Ravel, Dvorak, Handel and Rimsky-Korsakov.
Seating will be first come, first served, general admission. Attendees are required to wear a proper face mask. The concert will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 26, Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, 1037 S.W. Broadway; RoseFestival.org
