The pleasant temperatures continue in the Portland area, but the below-average highs are gone with the month of May.
The high Friday will be around 75 degrees Fahrenheit, with clear skies and very little breeze. The low overnight will drop to about 47, according to the National Weather Service.
Take full advantage of the weekend, because a high-pressure system building in the region promises to bring hot temps after that.
Saturday is expected to be sunny and to top out at 78, and Sunday will offer more of the same.
Monday, however, will be warmer, getting up to around 83. And Tuesday? The forecast right now puts the high at 92.
The temperature should drop back down into the 80s for the rest of the week in Portland metro. But the dry conditions – now at more than two weeks without rain – will continue as Oregon heads into fire season.
