Peated whiskey remains much less common in Ireland than it does in Scotland, and this release from Teeling is among the best on offer. Bottled at 46 percent ABV, it’s a bold, expressive whiskey, beginning with intense barbecue sauce aromas, and followed up with notes of banana and charcoal. The flavor profile has great depth of flavor, and finishes with a soft, malty, vanilla landing.
