The Portland Trail Blazers played very well for most of the summer league session in Las Vegas all the way up until the second half of Sunday’s final game.
The Blazers led the Miami Heat, 52-48 at halftime before scoring just seven points in the third quarter and 19 in the fourth to fall 104-78.
The second half, won 56-26 by the Heat, saw the Blazers shoot just 34.8% from the field and commit 19 turnovers. For the game, Portland shot 41.1% and committed 24 turnovers.
Duop Reath led the Blazers with 18 points off the bench. Point guard Michael Devoe started in place of Scoot Henderson and scored 16 points with five assists. Rookie forward Kris Murray produced 12 points.
Shaedon Sharpe did not play for the Blazers while Henderson remained out with a right shoulder injury.
The Heat (3-2) were led with 27 points from Orlando Robinson, who made 10 of 15 field goal attempts.
The Blazers finished the summer league at 4-2.
