Portland Trail Blazers assistant coach Scott Brooks will interview with the Milwaukee Bucks for their vacant head coaching position, according to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Brooks, who has 12 years of head coaching experience in the NBA, spent the last two seasons as the lead assistant to coach Chauncey Billups.
Prior to joining the Blazers staff in 2021, Brooks spent five seasons as the head coach with the Washington Wizards before he and the franchise parted ways following a first-round playoff series loss to Philadelphia.
Prior to going 183-207 with the Wizards, Brooks spent seven seasons coaching Oklahoma City where he guided the Thunder to the Western Conference championship during the 2011-12 season.
That Thunder team, led by Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden, lost to Miami in the 2012 NBA Finals.
Brooks has a career record of 521-414.
The Bucks fired coach Mike Budenholzer last week following a playoff series loss to the Miami Heat.
