Multnomah County will conduct a five-month review of its long-troubled county animal shelter, County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson announced Tuesday.
The review will include a status evaluation of all previous audits, reports and recommendations and a review of operations and policies at the shelter, the county said. The first phase of the review will be conducted by Ron Sarazin, an outside consultant already under contract with the county. The county also plans to hire a project manager to help out.
