Police are investigating after a woman was shot to death inside a Hillsboro bar early Sunday morning.
Officers were called to Kim’s Red Rose bar, 897 S.W. Oak Street, at about 12:45 a.m. and found a 42-year-old woman dead from a gunshot wound. She hasn’t been publicly identified.
At least four people had been asked to leave the bar, and one of those asked to leave turned around and shot the victim before firing again multiple times inside the bar, according to a news release from the Hillsboro Police Department.
Shots also were fired outside the bar, and detectives believe bullets likely hit one or more parked cars. Vehicle owners might not realize their cars were struck, so detectives are asking anyone who was parked at the bar Sunday morning to check for damage.
