If you’ve ever thought that having an entire pub to yourself for the weekend with your mates is the only true meaning of happiness, then boy do we have some news for you…
We’ve all had the dream where we get locked in a pub for the weekend with our mates and proceed to have the knees up to end all knees ups. Right?
Well, if you’ve ever had such aspirations, or if you fancy trying your hand at being a pub landlord for the weekend, then one Airbnb listing is set to make all of your wildest dreams come true.*
*Actually only this wildest dream, your other wildest dreams are down to a combination of luck, grit, determination, hard work and contacts.
That’s because the 500-year-old White Hart Inn, located in Horncastle, Lincolnshire, has been listed on Airbnb.
Excited? Well yes, so am I. So here’s everything you need to know:
The 16th century pub is listed at £667 per night and sleeps 14 guests. So by my maths, that’s about £47 per person per night.
The Inn has many things to recommend it as a great place for a staycation, such as its six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, an idyllic village setting and pool tables.
But let’s be honest, the real star of the show is the opportunity to pull your own pints from behind the bar.
What’s more, if you order in advance, you’ll be able to have your beers of choice hooked up to the pumps so you can enjoy your favourite pints on draught.
“Don’t miss this unique opportunity to take over an entire pub in the picturesque countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
“All set within the charming village of Tetford described by the Guardian in 2015 as the ‘English countryside at its quintessential best, with rolling hills, babbling brooks and unspoilt farmland’,” the Airbnb listing reads.
“There’s plenty to do, from pulling pints at your own bar, playing pool against your friends or hosting a meal in this charming historical inn.
“Or explore the beautiful surrounding countryside.
“You will have plenty of room for up to fourteen friends or family members with six bedrooms all have an en-suite shower and toilet available.
“There’s also a sofa bed for two more downstairs.”
And customers are already leaving rave reviews for the venue on Airbnb.
“This is an absolutely amazing pub and brilliant, one of a kind experience! We will be telling all of our friends and family about it and will be looking to book again next year!” One reviewer wrote.
“Amazing place. Having a whole pub to yourself is as good as it sounds! Great cosy pub, pumps all worked well, bedrooms comfy, good kitchen, lovely location. Perfect for a big group gathering. Richard very communicative. We will be back!” Another happy commenter added.
In December last year, customers were left stranded in a pub for the weekend after heavy snowfall left them unable to leave. You can read all about their story here.
