Burnside Oregon Oaked Rye

While this bottle contains sourced whiskey, it’s a great example of a producer making that spirit unique via a distinct proprietary process. In this case, Portland’s East Side Distilling finishes the rye in Oregon Oak, or Quercus Garryana. The influence is subtle but over time a pleasant woody emerges and pairs wonderfully with the green notes of rye. Spend some time with this one and add a splash of water to help open it up while sipping neat.
