When it comes to the wrestling state championships, it’s not always about how many you put on the top of the podium. And Redmond showed how the math worked in their favor as the Panthers overtook Thurston on Sunday in the OSAA Class 5A wrestling state championships at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Redmond, which hasn’t won a wrestling team title since 1959, finished first with 204.5 points. Thurston was second with 197.5 points and Crater was third with 171.
