Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a bank in Cornelius on Wednesday.
A man with gray-white hair and a gray-white beard walked into the U.S. Bank at 1735 North Adair Street shortly after 12 p.m. and gave a bank teller a note demanding money, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said. The bank teller turned over some cash, and the man left the bank.
Officers arrived on the scene and searched the area but the man had disappeared.
Police said the suspect appears to be about 70 years old. He’s around 5-feet, 10-inches tall and 180 pounds. They ask anyone who knows his whereabouts or might have relevant information to contact the Washington County Consolidated Communications Agency at 503-629-0111.
