Oregon has added a second blue chip safety to its 2023 recruiting class.
Tyler Turner, a four-star safety, announced his commitment to the Ducks on Wednesday. He chose Oregon over Oklahoma.
As a junior, Turner had 86 tackles with two for loss, three interceptions and a fumble recovery in 13 games for Brennan (San Antonio).
The 6-foot, 180-pound Turner is the No. 33 safety and No. 337 overall prospect in the class of 2023 in the 247Sports Composite. He is the seventh player to commit to Oregon’s class and the third defensive back. He joins wide receivers Jurion Dickey and Ashton Cozart, cornerback Cole Martin, defensive tackle Tevita Pome’e, running back Dante Dowdell and safety Kodi Decambra in a group that’s No. 24 in the 247Sports Composite overall.
