Medical examiners identified the pilot who died last week in a fiery crash at Pearson Field in Vancouver as 64-year-old Thomas Posey.
Posey, who lived in Vancouver, was flying a single-engine Beechcraft V35B when it crashed into the runway around 7:40 a.m. on June 28, flipping upside down and catching fire, according to reports.
The cause of death was blunt and thermal injuries, according to the Clark County Medical Examiner.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the cause of the crash.
